The Importance of Wellbeing at First AML

18 October, 2021

The success of a company is becoming more and more synonymous with the culture and wellbeing of its employees. We are wanting more from our workplaces than just to clock in and out as required. A healthy and supportive environment is what a lot of prospect employees look for in a company when they’re applying for new roles. Building and fostering a positive company culture involves a central ethos focusing on the wellbeing of its people. A lot of companies are introducing some fantastic initiatives and benefits for their employees, and First AML is one of them.

This week we have seen something pretty special come to fruition. First AML has partnered with Tend Health to provide subsidised medical appointments for our team. This means that our team simply enrol with Tend, then can see a medical professional either online or at a Tend clinic and we cover a good chunk of the cost. Being located next to their Kingsland clinic at 317 New North Road, Kingsland, will definitely make it easy for the team to pop out during the day to see one of their doctors in person. But the real benefit is being able to access their complete healthcare from the Tend app. From the app you can have an online appointment, check medical notes, liaise with the care team and order free repeat prescriptions. This access and convenience is so useful in this busy day and age.

Milan Cooper, First AML CEO & Co-Founder explains that the business has always been really focused on our people, but now more than ever we are making it our absolute priority.  “We recently created a dedicated People & Culture team who are focusing on all things well being for our team and the partnership with Tend is a direct result of that”. As a rapidly growing start up, with increasing global expansion, we want to ensure that we take care of people – as leaders, as a company and as a team. This is especially important during this global pandemic. In such uncertain times, it’s vital that we look after one another, and this partnership with Tend is a fantastic step in the right direction. Samantha Lee, Head of Customer Experience at Tend says, “We’re delighted to offer Tend’s state-of-the-art healthcare to our lovely Kingsland neighbours, the team at First AML. It’s great to see that they’re making the wellbeing of their staff a priority and we look forward to continuing the special relationship between our two companies”.

We’re thrilled to be announcing the beginning of our partnership with Tend, and are looking forward to the ongoing relationship with such a great healthcare provider. First AML places a high importance on employee wellbeing and is centralising its focus on improving company culture and experience.
